Mele Kalikimaka!

We decided not to send out Christmas cards this year. Wait now. Hear me out. There were a myriad of reasons, but ultimately I didn't feel my card was going to reach all of the people I needed it to in the way I wanted it to. I hope no one feels short-changed, and that this will serve somewhat as a personal note or "card" to you.

As we reflect on the past year, what sticks out in the forefront of my mind is YOU. Without you, the last six months would have been nothing but a sightseeing trip. And if you know us at all, then you know sightseeing is not entirely what we were after. This journey, simply put, would not be complete without the connections and relationships we formed.

What we've experienced with everyone has been nothing short of one of the most loving and incredible journeys Chip and I (and the boys!) have been on. Opening your homes to us, sharing a meal (or brew!), loving on our children, sharing a campsite, meeting up with us, and cheering us on "virtually" are just a few of the many heart-felt examples I speak of.

We truly cannot thank you enough. Thank you for the support in our planning stages. Thank you for the send-off. But most importantly thank you for the lasting memories. Each and every person we've connected with has touched us in a way that I can't even begin to explain and holds a piece in our memory bank. Thank you from the bottom, top, and deepest corners of our hearts for your love and welcoming generosity.

Mele Kalikimaka (You're welcome for having that song stuck in your head all day...)

Wishing you and yours much love this holiday season,
