Photo Dump: Saint Jean De Luz, France
On one of our last days with Chip's parents, we decided to sneak twenty minutes south of Biarritz, along the Basque Coast, to a charming fishing town called Saint Jean De Luz. With only one day here, we narrowed down the best of the best...a Basque seafood restaurant called Pil Pil Enea, a unique underwater winery tour at EgiaTegia, a walk around the main town, and a nap (for me and Chip) and paddle ball at the Grande Plage (beach). Below is our photo dump of our day in St Jean De Luz!
Pil Pil Enea Restaurant
At this colorful family bistro, we ate set menus of Basque seafood dishes and shared delicious wine. The owner is also a riot!
EgiaTegia Underwater wine
A completely unique technique in the world!
After vinification on land, the wines are plunged 15 meters into the depths of the ocean in the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
We took a tour of the cellar and shop, as well as, tried the delicious wines on their back patio overlooking the beautiful bay.

What’s Up Next?!
Next week we prepare and take part in France’s (maybe even Europe’s) largest and most insanely fun festival: Fêtes De Bayonne!!! Wait until you see us in the Basque Coast’s traditional dress (red and white apparel), along with 3 other million people donning the same outfit. Read about Biarritz and the festival here!
